Laura West is a Play Therapist registered with the Australasia Pacific Play Therapy Association (APPTA). She is a boisterous, fun and playful therapist that works with children of all ages and abilities.
After completing her Bachelors in Psychology and Biomedical Science at Victoria University, she found Play Therapy and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy. During this time, Laura worked in the disability field as a Support Worker, Care Coordinator and Case Manager, growing her wealth of knowledge about the field at Interchange Outer East.
Laura has returned to the Goulburn Valley as an adult after working in many different locations, including Play Therapy World based in Tasmania, working under Dr. Judi Parson as an Associate Play Therapist, engaging in intensive theory, practice and supervision to complete the required competencies to register as a Play Therapist.
Laura is currently completing her Masters in Play Therapy at Deakin University. In conjunction with this she is works in the Shepparton Neighbourhood School Therapeutic Play program and is the Managing Director for Camp Kiah - running Therapeutic camps, Respite and Education Support for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
